Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third leading cause of cancer-associated mortalities. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been identified as key regulators in the occurrence and development of CRC. The lncRNA urothelial cancer associated 1 (UCA1) has been demonstrated to promote the development of numerous different types of cancer. In the present study, a novel molecular mechanism of UCA1, regulating the migratory and invasive capabilities of SW480 CRC cells was identified.
