Numerous antagonists of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) have been developed to attenuate inflammation and accompanying pain in many disease processes. Soluble TNF receptor type II (sTNFRII) is one such antagonist that sequesters TNFα away from target receptors and attenuates its activity.
