Sialoadhesin (Sn) is a macrophage-restricted endocytic receptor involved in cell–cell, cell–matrix and cell–pathogen interactions. Recently, porcine Sn (pSn) was shown to be involved in signaling and lately Sn is gaining interest as a potential target for immunotherapy.
