Cell migration inducing hyaluronan binding protein (CEMIP) is a hyaluronic acid binding protein, the abnormal elevation of which is suggested as a contributor in the carcinogenesis of colorectal cancer (CRC). Cancer cells lose their adhesive properties and acquire an enhanced mobility by undergoing epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). This study is performed to investigate whether and how CEMIP orchestrates the EMT process of CRC cells.
